Because every woman’s caloric requirements are different, you should always listen to your body and to how you feel above any number of calories you come up with. You may be eating the precise number of calories that a scientific formula advises, but you feel terrible - if this happens it’s important to listen to your body first and foremost and make the necessary adjustments to your diet.

^ This, However, that shouldn’t be an excuse to only eat 1,170 calories. “Oh, I’m tiny, I don’t think my body needs more than 1000 calories.” — “Oh, I can’t eat more than 900 calories a day! I’m simply stuffed and if I swallow one more baby carrot I’m going to pop.” — This is not acceptable and that’s not the message this article is trying to get across. 

I love that quote, “You want to be a calorie-burning machine. If you don’t eat enough, you become a calorie-conserving machine.” :))
